A General Information On Various Medium Bob Hairstyles

Posted by Short Hair Styles on July 17, 2009

A Bob Hairstyle is a trendy hairstyle in which the person has their hair cut short and usually straight. This is a trend amongst celebrities right now. The hair is usually layered and cut shoulder length. There are different variations of Bob hair styles.

Bob Short HairstylesMedium Bob
A medium bob hairstyle is a versatile cut that fits the looks and style of a lot of woman. This bob allows a style that frames the face and can narrow wider facial shapes like heart shaped ones or soften jaw lines like angular facial shapes.

Choppy Blunt Bob
A blunt bob is very flattering as the bangs add a touch to the bob and help soften other facial features like wider foreheads. The blunt sides help narrow the facial region and draw more attention to the overall look. A blunt, choppy bob is quite different from the normal traditional bobs but creates the same appeal with an added touch. A good option for people experienced with bobs who want to try a different variation.

Flip out Bob
This Bob makes it so the sides of the hair flip out at the ends. This is what makes this bob a unique look. Both sides can still be pinned behind the ear but the heavy flip out create a fashionable retro style. It is a good selection from the normal bob and can compliment some women very well.

The Beckham Bob
This is a very unique bob in that it is far different from a normal bob in many ways. This bob is a little more wispy with varying lengths. This slight variation in lengths, really changes the way the bob looks. The bob still frames the face well. Also, this bob does not use bangs. The bob is a great selection for changing up different looks.

The Wig Bob
Bobs can be created with extensions but how about a wig. The purpose of a Bob wig is so that women can try out the look first without committing to it. A bob wig consists of blunt, choppy sides and bangs to help soften the facial area.

You will see this type of hairstyle on many celebrities right now and can be a very nice compliment to some. This style can really bring out the facial features of a woman. This medium bob hairstyle is a safe and nice look for women. It allows them to get away with having short hair but not at the same.

Short Hairstyles For A Round Face

Posted by Short Hair Styles on July 10, 2009

Do you have a round face? You are not alone. You have top celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Freddy Rodriguez, Elijah Wood and Kirsten Dunst with you. So here are some fashionable tips for hairstyles for a round face which will make you feel proud and blessed.

Latest Short Hair StylesShort hair on a round face is stylish and easily manageable too. The secret is to have good mass of hair atop the head. This is done by making textured layers which seems to slim the face. You can enhance your short hair look by using shags also.

Similarly, you can wear long hair on a round face which helps to make your face look longer. Be careful to avoid heavy volume of hair around the cheek area. Keep the long locks narrow and slim while passing the chin to smoothen the hair. Highlight with feathered ends. You can go for emo hairstyles or color highlights which can slender a round face too.

Now these are some don’ts for hairstyling a round face. Never keep medium length hair. Either have your hairs end up before the cheeks or have them pass the chin. Avoid these styles to stop blunders-hair bangs which are heavy, curls, blunt ends and bob cuts beside the cheeks which further acts to the prominence of the cheeks. Apart from the length factor which also counts is the hair type.

You may have a round face with curly hair. If you want keep it short style in a way that is off center and is tight to the face around the ear. This will compliment your curls. This is very time saving and easy go styling.

In case of curly long hair, shape it up with the apt layering. Take good care of it like using less shampoo, more conditioning and use of products which will keep your curls good. This styling has a lot of options like ponies, twists, buns, braids, scarves etc.

Try the above hairstyles to flaunt them with your round face. However, everything is fair in style if you are good enough.

Hair Styles For Short Length Hair

Posted by Short Hair Styles on July 9, 2009

I keep my hair about ear length and I never run out of ideas and I’m not getting bored with it. Here they are some hair styles I use and I can recommend to all of you.

Hottest Hair StylesCrimping.

Short hair gets really floofy and can to all sorts of spiff frizzy antigravity things when it’s short.

Wee pigtails.

I like to pull sections from the top (the crown?) of my head and put them in little brightly colored rubberbands. Sometimes I just do two in the front, at others I do four, two in front and two in back. A variation on this is to use butterfly clips (or something similar) to hold them instead of rubberbands. More variety can be had by braiding the sections.

Pull it all up into pigtails. You can get all sorts of looks from this depending on where you place them. For example, more towards the sides will give you a little-girl look, more towards the back can be more adult-looking (example would be Devi in “I feel sick,” if you’ve ever read that.)

I like to tie really long (butt-length and longer) ribbons into my hair. A blah ponytail changes to something really elegant when it has a long black velvet ribbon trailing from it. Just be careful not to sit on them, and be prepared to have people wanting to play with them when you wear them. And then of course, there are pony falls for when you really want long hair.

You can get a variety of looks by having them cut differently (examples, curved like Bettie Page, straight across like Louise Brookes, or pointed in a V) and dying them and bleaching them different colors from the rest of your head. You can get away with abusing them a lot more than the rest of your hair, too. An advantage to cutting them when your hair is short is that it will take less time for them to grow out when you get tired of them than if you had long hair. If you do cut bangs, it’s a good idea to keep several headbands around for lazy days when you don’t feel like styling them.

Modern Short Hair Lengths

Posted by Short Hair Styles on July 7, 2009

Short hair styles are flattering on lots of people. Short haircuts range from buzz cuts to bob haircuts. To select the short cut that is right for you, you will need to look at several options before selecting a style that you like.

Sexy And Funky Short Hair StylesThe first step to selecting a short hair style is to look through magazines and hair cut books. You will want to look for a model or actress that has a face shape that is similar to yours. This will help you to decide if their short hair cut will look good on you.

The next step is to talk to your hairstylist to get their opinion on what short cuts will work best with your bone structure. They may be able to steer you clear of haircut disasters. They may also have software that can modify your picture to show you what you would actually look like with a specific haircut.

After selecting a style of hair cut that you want you will also need to decide how short you want to go. Very short haircuts are great if you don’t have a lot of time to fuss with your hair in the morning, however, if you are used to longer hair a very short haircut may be too much of a change to handle. If you don’t want to go ultra short you can select from a number of short trendy hairstyles. These hairstyles are usually introduced or made popular by celebrities and fashion icons.

You need the most glamorously beautiful prom hair style in the room! We all know the most common prom hair style around – hair is bundled high on the head in a ponytail, while curls are arranged cascading around the face and then decorated with sequins or clips. This is a very feminine and pretty prom hair style. But we realize that not every girl wants this typical style. The following is an alternative idea for you to explore for your very special and unique prom hair style.

Glamorous Short Hair Styles

Think movie star and classic glamor for this beautiful prom hair style. Soft, billowing curls falling down upon your shoulders, just like the movie stars from the 40’s and 50’s are what make this prom hair style a wonderful alternative to an updo.

Hairstyling gurus such as Jesse Brigs call this new prom hair style “Hollywood glam”. He has helped develop a new waving technique he calls the S Wave Thermal Set that helps girls get the most romantic waves possible.

But what about girls with short hair?

Don’t’ worry, we haven’t forgotten about your prom hair style! Or you can even put in bonded extensions and have the fun of long hair for up to three months.

Hair extensions are a simple way to get a beautiful prom hair style for either an up do or long and glamorous wavy look. Use hot roller, curling irons and a blow dryer to style your prom hair style. Just be sure you are careful near the bonds and/or clips so that you can readily conceal where the extensions are attached.

No matter what style you decide to go with on your prom night, make sure your prom hair style is one to remember. Be sure to add flowers, gems or jewels to glam up your prom hair style.
